3-1-1 Emergency Coverage
Weather happens. System Failures happen. Special Events happen.
What if you experience a system failure that is outside the scope of your disaster recovery plan? 311 Network provides your citizens with continuous 3-1-1 Service… when you can’t.
311 Network can prepare you for:
Citizens need critical information during ice storms, snow storms, hurricanes, floods, large scale power outages, etc.
- System Failures
The best disaster recovery plans can fail when the unexpected happens.
- Special Events
When your city hosts an event that brings in a large volume of visitors, offer 311 as the “event information resource” and then sit back and let 311 Network handle the calls.
How it Works
The 311 Network primary call centers are in three separate locations (Charleston, SC, Asheville, NC, Charlotte, NC and Atlantic City, NJ). Each center is instantly capable of rolling over to one another. Agents are dispersed throughout the four centers so that no single center failure affects our ability to respond to incoming calls.
In addition, 311 Network has, at a minimum, 24 member locations throughout the United States and Canada that all operate on the same hardware platform. Should any one or all of 311 Network’s four primary centers become inoperable; calls can be routed to any of these centers with a flip of the switch.
- Hardware Security
Servers and IT hardware are located in secure facilities with dedicated air conditioning, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, and backup generators.
Two Internet Service Providers with a SonicWall Pro 2040 with automatic failure detection and failover are in place at each location.
- Phone lines
Two Telephone Providers with automatic failure detection and failover are utilized at each location.
311 Network utilizes SonicWall Pro 2040 device with Gateway Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware and Intrusion Prevention services.
- Data backups
Daily Full Backups are stored onsite and offsite on secure servers in secure locations.
